I found this small glass and wooden piece at the Goodwill bins and brought it home because it was just too cute to pass up. Right away, I knew it had potential—I could turn it into a decorative bell or even a little cloche!

When I got home and took a closer look, I realized it was actually a wooden candlestick paired with a glass votive cup—genius! Luckily, I already had both of these items on hand, so I grabbed them right away to start making a set of bells!

I used my hot glue gun to glue both pieces together.

I also had another random wood piece and a small glass piece with an adorable fluted edge, just like the first one.

I used my hot glue gun to attach the two pieces together.

I wanted the bells to hang so I grabbed some white ribbon from my stash. The wood candlestick pieces have a little hole in the bottom, probably where they were put on the machines to be hand turned.
First, I put a drop of hot glue into the hole.

Then, I used the end of a mini pick to push the end of the ribbon into the hole.

Then, I set it aside so the glue could dry while I worked on the other wood piece.

For the third wood piece, I tied the white ribbon securely around the base.

It was feeling very shabby chic to me so I decided to grab some lace and tie it to the top of the bells.

To create the bell ringer, I used a piece of string and a large wooden bead.

First, I threaded the bead and then tied a few knots to secure everything in place.

Then, I hot-glued the string end to the inside center of the glass piece. I used pliers to hold it steady.

The best part? It actually works—it even sounds like a real bell!

It looks so precious hanging by my bed, with the glass and tones giving it a shabby chic vibe. I think these would also be perfect for Christmas or even as wedding decor!
