When shopping for ornaments, don’t worry about the color. Focus on the size, shape, and texture—those are the features you can easily work with to create your own look.

This year, I’m going with a blue-and-white theme, so I decided to paint my thrifted ornaments in Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in the shade Yankee Blue. It pairs beautifully with the blue velvet ribbon I bought for my tree.

If you want a darker blue option, I recommend Dixie Belle In the Navy.

I used a STAALMEESTER Artist Flat brush to give each ornament a quick coat of chalk paint. Chalk paint adheres well to most surfaces, making it perfect for this project. And you all already know, my favorite Chalk Paint is Dixie Belle!

The easiest way to dry your ornaments is to place them in cups. It keeps them steady and prevents smudging while they dry.

Once dry, the ornaments will have a beautiful matte finish that looks stunning. Combine them with other DIY decorations, and your tree will look cohesive and custom-made!

I’m so excited to decorate my tree this year—it’s going to be absolutely gorgeous with these revamped ornaments! 🎄 Be sure to check out how I made these beautiful blue and white stamped ornaments in this blog!
