I found three little plastic cloches on the shelf at Goodwill that were in good shape, so I brought them home knowing I could create something unique with them!

I also found these old wood furniture feet in my stash, so I grabbed two to use as a base for my mini cloches.

I struggled to get the screw out of this piece, so I decided to just work with it as it was.

For this project, I decided to add a touch of whimsy by styling my cloches with miniature bunnies inside.
First, I grabbed my cordless drill and drilled a hole in the bottom of this cute plastic bunny.

Once I made sure the bunny would fit on the screw, I took it off to apply paint to the bunny.

For this part, I used one of my favorite painting techniques – Dixie Belle Patina Paint!

First, I applied a coat of Dixie Belle Patina Paint in the color Iron to both of my bunny figures.

Check out this step by step guide to lear how to use Patina Spray:
Once the patina paint fully dried, I used a combo of Dixie Belle Blue and Green Patina Spray to give these bunnies a beautiful aged, rusted patina finish.
First, I sprayed the green spray on to the bunnies. Then, I used a paper towel to dab away the excess spray. This not only blends the colors a bit but also helps to smooth out any visible spray marks.
Just like with the green, I repeated those steps with the blue spray: spray, dab, and repeat.
Pro tip: Don’t hold back, especially on the top and bottom areas—go for a generous coating.

They came out perfectly! Can you believe that they went from bright gold to THIS aged, beautiful color? I was SO happy with how these turned out!

While you don’t necessarily have to do this step, I applied hot glue to the screw so that the bunny and the wood base were firmly attached.

Then, I let the glue dry.

I found this medium-sized wooden knob in my stash and loved how it matched the color of my furniture feet, so I decided to use it as a topper for my cloche.

First, I applied a drop of hot glue to the top of the mini cloche.

And then I set the wooden knob on top of the glue so that the two pieces were attached.
The wooden knob serves as a handle on top of the cloche, allowing you to pick it up without leaving fingerprints on the clear parts.

For the third bunny, I had this rustic gray aged piece of wood that looked like it fit perfect with one of the cloches.

I chose one of my favorite bunnies because he will style so well with this bunny-themed cloche.

I wanted this cloche to also have a little wooden handle on top so I found a small white knob that went really well with this wood base. Again, I applied a drop of glue on the top of the cloche and attached the two pieces together.

Lastly, I let the glue dry before styling all three of my new beautiful bunny cloches in my home!

And it turned out SO CUTE!

Don’t you just love it when all these random DIY pieces in your stash come together so beautifully?
